The Peli BlackBox 5U 30-inch Rack Mount Case is a rugged and versatile case designed for secure transportation and protection of 19-inch rack-mount equipment in demanding environments. Constructed from durable Black-463 blended resin, this case provides excellent impact resistance and reliable light to medium-duty protection. It features a 30-inch (76.2 cm) deep light-duty steel rack frame with a corrosion-resistant zinc black finish, meeting ANSI/EIA 310-C standards, and supports payloads up to 45.4 kg.

Inside, eight cylindrical elastomeric shock mounts attached directly to the case shoulders provide 2 inches (5.1 cm) of sway space, effectively isolating sensitive equipment from shocks and vibration during transport and use. The front and rear lids have interior depths of 2.2 inches (5.6 cm) and 5.2 inches (13.2 cm) respectively, both equipped with molded-in 3.25-inch (82.6 mm) edge casters for easy mobility. Four plastic comfort-grip handles enhance ergonomic handling and ease of transport.

The molded-in rib design offers robust stacking strength and interlocking capabilities. Spring-loaded stainless steel hardware with a nickel black finish ensures secure closure and long-lasting durability. The closed-loop gasket and integrated pressure relief valve maintain an airtight and watertight environment protecting the case contents from dust and water ingress. Removable front and rear lids allow convenient dual-side access for installation and maintenance of equipment.
