Most protective cases force a compromise: travel light and accept the risk, or pack properly and wrestle with something that's too heavy, too bulky, or too small for what you actually carry. The Peli Air 1595 refuses that trade-off. Positioned deliberately between the cabin-compliant 1535 and the large-deployment 1615, it covers the trip profile that neither extreme handles well — the gear-heavy journey where carry-on dimensions fall short, but a full-sized expedition case is overkill. And because the shell is built from Peli's HPX²™ polymer, it weighs up to 40% less than a conventional protective case of comparable size.

Full IP67 and MIL-SPEC Protection

The 1595 carries the same protection credentials as any Peli Air case in the professional range. IP67 certification means it is tested waterproof to one metre of submersion for 30 minutes — not splash-resistant, not weather-resistant, but genuinely submersible. The dustproof rating is absolute: no particulate enters the case under any conditions. MIL-SPEC C-4150J compliance adds verification against standardised shock, vibration, and temperature extremes used by military procurement and field research programmes alike.

A continuous O-ring seal runs the full perimeter of the lid. Close the latches and the interior is sealed from everything outside. The automatic pressure equalization valve — a Gore-Tex membrane mounted flush in the case wall — allows air to move as cabin pressure changes without admitting moisture, so the lid opens cleanly at altitude without vacuum resistance. Stainless steel padlock protectors accept standard travel locks through the latch bar for checked baggage security.

• No Foam — bare interior, ready for custom foam, foam-in-place systems, specialist trays, or any mixed load where you handle your own organisation.
• With Foam (Pick N Pluck™) — Peli's pre-scored foam cube system fills the base with a grid of individually removable foam cubes. Pull them out by hand — layer by layer — to create a shaped recess that holds your equipment precisely. No knives, no templates. The foam absorbs vibration and prevents gear from shifting between locations.
• With Padded Dividers and Lid Foam — repositionable, fabric-covered padded divider panels that divide the interior into flexible compartments and reconfigure without tools. Build a layout for cameras and lenses today; rearrange for a different kit on the next trip. Lid foam adds a cushioning contact layer above the equipment.

Built to Move Through Any Environment

Quiet-rolling stainless-steel bearing wheels handle airport terminals, loading docks, and rough pavements without the chatter of cheaper wheels on expansion joints. The retractable trolley handle adjusts to your preferred height, and an over-moulded carry handle on the side lets you lift the case cleanly from a vehicle boot or overhead storage without catching fingers on the shell. An integrated business card holder on the exterior speeds up identification at a crowded baggage carousel, on a shared production truck, or during multi-case deployments in the field.

Press & Pull™ Latches

The 1595 closes on Peli's Press & Pull™ latches — a two-stage mechanism designed to stay sealed under load and release cleanly with one thumb. They operate reliably with cold hands, with heavy gloves, in low light, and after years of daily use. When the latches click shut, the case is sealed. No sticking, no jamming under pressure, no risk of accidental opening during transport.

The Case That Fills the Gap

The 1535 is Peli's benchmark carry-on, well known to photographers and professionals who refuse to check their gear. The 1615 is the full checked suitcase for extended deployments and large production kits. The 1595 is for the trips that fall between — when the 1535 is too small and the 1615 is more than you need.
