The Super-V is Peli's most versatile rack mount case family, available in two rack depths — 24 inches (61 cm) and 30 inches (76 cm) — and spanning an unusually wide size range from 3U to 14U. Where the Classic-V offers maximum depth for large equipment, the Super-V trades some rack depth for a more compact footprint and adds edge-mounted rear casters that let operators roll the case into position on a smooth floor surface. The square-hole frame ships with both SAE 10-32 and metric M6 cage nuts pre-installed, making it a truly universal solution for mixed-equipment programmes common in European defence and broadcast procurement.

Ideal Deployment Scenarios

The Super-V is the default choice for communications and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) payloads that need portability without sacrificing a full rack interface. A 7U Super-V holding a software-defined radio (SDR) node, associated signal processing hardware, and a UPS module weighs roughly 45 kg fully loaded and can be moved by two operators or a standard pallet jack — an important consideration for rapid base establishment. In the live-event touring industry, 5U Super-V cases are routinely racked with digital audio workstations and MIDI interfaces, then flown internationally as checked freight in compliance with IATA dangerous-goods guidance for lithium batteries. The interstacking coupling catches allow multiple cases to form a stable stack of up to four units without additional tie-down hardware in a road vehicle.

Size and Configuration Range

The 3U model has an external height of approximately 18 cm and a payload capacity of up to 45 kg; the 14U model stands approximately 67 cm tall and accepts payloads up to 77 kg. The 30-inch (76 cm) depth variants are particularly suited to modern solid-state servers and network appliances whose chassis extend beyond the 24-inch depth of older equipment standards. A lid hanger system on all models holds the lid at 90° during operation, keeping it out of the operator's way without removing it from the case. The pressure relief valve and closed-loop neoprene gasket maintain the IP67-equivalent environmental seal throughout transport.
