Peli Euro-V 4U-L — 19-inch rack transport case for deep equipment
When rack-mounted gear leaves the building — for a film production, a mobile server room, a live event, a military exercise, or a mobile broadcast station — one thing matters: it arrives working. The Peli Euro-V 4U-L is a 4U rack transport case engineered for exactly that mission. A rotomoulded polyethylene shell, a steel 19-inch EIA rack frame, and wall-mounted cylindrical shock absorbers protect everything inside against impacts, vibration, and the relentless punishment of field transport.
Long variant — 762 mm depth for equipment that doesn't fit in standard cases
Not all rack equipment is shallow. Power amplifiers, rack-mounted UPS units, network switches with SFP modules, professional routers, and DSP processors frequently have depths exceeding 450–500 mm. The 4U-L solves this with an internal depth of 762 mm (30 inches). No compromises on equipment selection, no extension brackets, no forcing the lid closed — every module mounts directly to the frame and the lid closes cleanly.
A Short variant (4U-S) is available separately for shallower equipment. Choose the right depth at the point of purchase — the two variants are not interchangeable.
Steel 19-inch EIA frame — the universal rack standard
Inside the case sits a steel rack frame with a metric square-hole pattern (M6 captive nuts available separately). This is the same standard used in fixed server rooms, front-of-house consoles, AV installations, and broadcast equipment racks worldwide. The practical result: any 19-inch module you mount in your office installs in this case the same way — no adapters, no modifications required.
Rotomoulded shell and cylindrical shock mounts
The shell is manufactured by rotational moulding from polyethylene — the same process Peli uses for its protective cases. The material is lightweight yet resistant to impacts, dust, and moisture. The wall-mounted cylindrical shock absorbers isolate installed equipment from vibration and shocks transmitted through truck floors, van beds, and cargo aircraft. Sensitive audio converters, network cards, and power supplies receive the same level of protection as military hardware — Peli Euro-V cases were originally designed for defence and rescue applications.
8 handles and edge castors for field handling
When a loaded case weighs 30–60 kg, ergonomic handling is a safety requirement. The Euro-V 4U-L has eight black plastic carrying handles distributed around the body, allowing two, three, or four people to lift simultaneously from any approach angle. Edge castors make it easy to roll and manoeuvre across smooth surfaces — a loading dock, a stage floor, a server room. No hand truck required for everyday repositioning.
Stacking compatibility with Super-V and BlackBox
When you transport multiple cases, the moulded stacking ribs let the Euro-V 4U-L lock securely on top of other cases in the Super-V and BlackBox series. It stays in position without tie-down straps between stack layers. In time-sensitive deployments — a concert technical zone, a mobile command centre, a temporary server room on location — this matters when every minute counts.

Who uses the Euro-V 4U-L
This case is built for anyone who transports professional 19-inch rack equipment to demanding locations. Live sound engineers moving deep rack amplifiers and DSP processors. IT specialists deploying mobile server infrastructure to remote sites. Broadcast and outside broadcast teams transporting rack-mounted signal processing gear. Military and emergency services running mobile technical operations. If the equipment is expensive, deep, and must work perfectly on arrival, the Euro-V 4U-L is the case for it.
