Air 1595 or Air 1595TRVL?

The standard Air 1595 is an equipment case: you choose the interior (no foam, Pick N Pluck™ foam or padded dividers with lid foam) and build it around cameras, drones, lighting or instruments. The Air 1595TRVL uses the same shell but is set up as luggage, with a lid organizer, packing cubes and a business card holder for clothes and travel essentials. Available here in black, indigo and charcoal. If you pack for a trip, choose the TRVL; if you pack equipment that needs a fitted interior, choose the standard 1595.

Will the Peli Air 1595 pass as checked baggage?

Yes, with room to spare. Its dimensions add up to 145.1 cm, comfortably under the 158 cm linear limit many airlines use for standard checked bags – unlike the Air 1615, which sits right on that limit. With foam it weighs 7.42 kg, leaving about 15.5 kg of a typical 23 kg allowance for your gear. It is not a cabin case; if you need a carry-on to go with it, look at the Peli Air 1535. Always check your airline's current rules before you fly.

Peli Air 1595, Air 1615 or Peli 1560?

Compared with the Peli Air 1615, the 1595 is about 10 cm shorter inside (64.8 cm vs 75.2 cm) and holds roughly 56 litres instead of 71, with almost the same width and depth – choose the 1615 only if you carry long items such as tripods or light stands. Compared with the Peli 1560, the 1595 offers about 14 cm more interior length at the same width and depth (37.9 × 22.7 cm vs 38.0 × 22.9 cm), and it is about 1.5 kg lighter empty (6.17 kg vs 7.71 kg). Choose the 1560 if you want the classic, thicker Protector shell and the widest choice of spare parts.

Which interior is right for you?

Pick N Pluck™ foam suits kit that rarely changes: pluck out the cubes for a fitted cut-out, but plucked cubes cannot be put back cleanly. Padded dividers are quick to rearrange and are available separately in red and olive green. Buy the case with no foam and you can add a foam set or dividers later. The 1595TRVL organizers turn the same shell into a suitcase.

Accessories and spare parts for the Peli Air 1595

Wear parts can be replaced individually: a left/right wheel assembly set that fits Peli Air cases from the 1595 to the 1755, and the Peli AIRHANDL EZ-Pull™ multi-stage handle, available as a part or fitted before shipping. When you order a case, we can also swap the wheels for quieter rubber wheels and the latches or handles for another colour. For the interior there is a replacement foam set and padded dividers; for the lid, a mesh-pocket organizer.
