Case Rack 7U Peli EURO-V 7U-S Short Server Case
Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
The Peli EURO-V 7U-S Short Server Case is a rugged, rotomoulded rack-mount transport case built to carry and protect 19" EIA standard rack-mounted equipment wherever it needs to go. A rack case takes the familiar fixed 19" rack frame that normally lives in a studio, server room or equipment bay and turns it into a sealed, portable, impact-resistant enclosure — so a complete rack-mounted system can be wheeled out, shipped, flown or deployed in the field and arrive ready to run. Manufactured in Germany, finished in black, it delivers medium-duty protection in a streamlined, fast-to-deploy package.
What a rack case is and why it matters
Professional electronics — amplifiers, mixers, patch panels, switches, servers, power distribution and signal processing — are designed to bolt into a standardised 19" rack. In a building, that rack is a fixed steel cabinet. The problem starts the moment the equipment has to travel: a fixed rack offers no sealing, no shock isolation and no safe way to move heavy, sensitive gear. A rack case solves this by integrating the same 19" mounting frame inside a protective shell. Equipment stays bolted in place, fully cabled and configured, while the case absorbs the knocks, keeps out water and dust, and rolls or lifts as a single unit.
Understanding the 7U size and "Short" depth
Rack height is measured in rack units, where 1U equals 1.75" (44.45 mm) of vertical mounting space on the 19" rails. This case provides 7U of usable mounting height — enough for several rack devices stacked together, such as a switch or server, a power unit, a patch panel and one or two processing units, depending on each device's own U height.
The "-S" / "Short" designation refers to the case's rack depth. Short-bodied EURO-V cases are intended for shallower equipment, keeping the footprint compact and loaded weight manageable, while the longer "-L" variants accommodate deeper devices. This 7U-S model is available in rack depths of 610 mm (24") and 760 mm (30"), so you can match the case to the depth of the gear you intend to mount.
What fits inside
Because it follows the 19" EIA standard, the EURO-V 7U-S accepts any standard rack-mountable equipment within its 7U height and chosen depth:
- Servers, network switches, routers and patch panels for IT and data deployments
- Audio mixers, amplifiers, signal processors and outboard gear for live sound and recording
- Broadcast and AV equipment — encoders, matrix switchers, monitoring and control units
- Power distribution units, UPS modules and rack drawers
The case supports metric-mounted equipment via a steel rack with an industry-standard square hole pattern (M6 clip nuts available), so devices bolt in exactly as they would in a fixed cabinet.
Foam vs. rack-frame protection
Rather than relying on cut foam, this is a true rack case: equipment is bolted into the integrated 19" steel frame and isolated by cylindrical wall-mounted shock mounts that protect sensitive electronics from shock and vibration in transit. This rack-mount approach holds heavy gear securely by its own mounting ears — the safest way to transport powered, cabled rack equipment — while keeping the interior open for airflow and cable access.
Build quality and protection
The EURO-V 7U-S is constructed from a rotomoulded polyethylene shell paired with corrosion-resistant black oxide stainless steel hardware for durable, reliable service. A silicone sponge O-ring gasket and an automatic pressure relief valve (PRV) maintain a watertight seal and prevent over-pressurisation, safeguarding equipment against moisture and dust. Moulded-in stacking ribs allow stable interstacking with other EURO-V, Super-V and BlackBox rack cases, so multiple cases travel together without sliding. Eight black plastic handles and edge casters make a fully loaded case easy to lift and roll.

Who uses these cases
Short-depth rack cases like the EURO-V 7U-S are trusted across industries that move critical equipment: broadcast and outside-broadcast crews building portable racks, military and defence logistics, IT and data-centre teams shipping servers and network gear, and AV production companies touring with audio and control systems. Anywhere a fixed rack would normally live but the equipment has to travel, a Peli rack case delivers the protection, portability and professional build quality the job demands.
