Peli 1730 Protector Case

One of the largest cases in the Peli Protector lineup, the 1730 is built as a rolling fortress for equipment that genuinely cannot fail: broadcast cameras, server hardware, military systems, scientific instruments, AV rigs, or any payload that must survive the journey intact.

Total Environmental Seal

The 1730 is watertight, dustproof, and crushproof—rated IP67, meaning it withstands full immersion up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. A double O-ring seal runs around the entire perimeter of the lid. The automatic pressure equalization valve (APV) vents pressure differences without ever breaking the seal, so the lid won't pull in water when opened after altitude changes or temperature drops. An optional manual pressure equalization valve is also available for operations where automated venting is not preferred.

Built for the Field

The shell is injection-moulded from ultra-high-impact polypropylene—the same material standard in military-spec cases worldwide. Stainless steel hardware and padlock protectors mean the closure system survives corrosion, rough handling, and attempted tampering. Double-throw latches snap open cleanly in one motion and stay locked without accidental release. Standard colour: black.

Large Format, Still Mobile

Despite its imposing size, the 1730 is designed to move. Integrated wheels and fold-down handles let a single person maneuver a full load through airports, staging areas, and production locations. The open-cell core with solid outer wall keeps the case rigid without unnecessary weight—every kilogram saved is payload you can actually use.

Configurable Interior

The version with foam includes a 5-layer Pick 'N' Pluck foam set. Each layer is pre-scored into small cubes: peel them out to create a custom cavity matching the exact contour of your gear. No tools, no adhesive, no lead time—a precise fit in minutes. The no-foam variant delivers a clean shell ready for your own inserts, dividers, or rack mounts.

Optional Humidity Monitoring

For sensitive electronics or optical equipment, the 1730 can be fitted with an optional humidity indicator that changes colour above 40% relative humidity—a clear visual warning before moisture can cause damage. Paired with desiccant packs, it turns the case into a controlled-environment container for the most demanding payloads.
