Who the Peli 1770 is built for

The 1770 was designed for equipment that simply doesn't fit in a standard case. Photographers and cinematographers rely on it for camera sliders, full-length carbon-fibre tripods, lighting stands, and long telephoto lenses. Surveyors and engineers transport precision long-shaft instruments with confidence. Musicians travel with trombones, bows, and full-length instruments knowing they'll arrive undamaged. Hunters and sport shooters lock up rifles and compound bows for secure transport. If your equipment exceeds a metre in length and can't afford a knock — this case was made for it.

Protection that doesn't compromise

The 1770 is watertight, crushproof, and dustproof. Two integrated automatic pressure-equalisation valves balance internal pressure during air transport and altitude changes, preventing seal failure from pressure differentials. The O-ring gasket on the lid creates a reliable barrier against water ingress and fine dust in demanding outdoor environments.

Four extra-deep base-to-lid locking cleats maintain perfect lid alignment under load and provide maximum stacking stability — crucial when cases are stacked during cargo handling. Stainless-steel hardware resists corrosion in harsh environments, while integrated padlock protectors allow you to secure the case with your own padlocks for tamper-evident closure on long journeys.

Wide-track polyurethane wheels with ball bearings and nylon hubs glide smoothly across airport concourses, warehouse floors, and uneven terrain. When rolling isn't an option, two double-wide top handles and a rubber over-moulded side-carry handle give you three solid grip points for manoeuvring in confined spaces or lifting into vehicles.

The case is available in two variants: With Foam — including a 4-piece foam set that you customise to the exact shape of your equipment — and No Foam, for those who prefer custom-cut inserts or an empty interior.
