The Peli Air 1535 is one of the most travelled carry-on cases in the world — airport terminals, gravel car parks, cobblestones, loading bays. After enough mileage, the rubber wheels show it: flat spots, surface cracking, squeaking under load. These compatible replacement rubber wheels (set of 2) restore the quiet, effortless roll the case had when it was new — at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire case.
What's in the Set
Two rubber wheels, 60 mm in diameter, made to fit the Peli 1535 wheel housing directly, with no trimming or adaptation required. The bearings are not included — they are retained from your existing wheels during the swap, which keeps the running quality of your bearings intact.
Choose Your Colour
The set is available in classic black and in seven colours: yellow, pink, blue, orange, red, purple and lime green. Coloured wheels are the quickest way to make a Peli 1535 instantly recognisable on the baggage carousel, to colour-code cases within a team or fleet, or to match the coloured latches and handles of a Peli Air Color case. When to Replace
Wheels on a well-used case reach a point where repair stops making sense and replacement is the practical choice:
- Flat spots that cause a bumpy, lurching roll — common after a case is stored or left stationary for extended periods
- Surface rubber cracked or hardened from UV exposure or temperature cycling in vehicle boots, holds, or outdoor storage
- Delamination — rubber separating from the wheel core during active transport
- Persistent squeaking or stiffness in the wheel rotation despite lubrication
- Visible wear through to the wheel core, compromising smooth contact with the ground
How the Swap Works
The replacement is designed to be manageable without specialised tools. The old wheels are removed from the axle, the bearings are extracted and transferred to the new rubber wheels, which are then pressed onto the same axle. The result: your Peli 1535 rolls quietly again, the wheel housing closes cleanly, and the case is ready for the next trip. One set of 2 covers both wheels on a standard Peli 1535.

I absolutely love how this whole setup came together. The yellow Peli Air 1535 already looks fantastic on its own, but with the blue interior, lid organizer and upgraded wheels it feels like a completely customized case.
The blue interior is not only a perfect match for the yellow exterior, it also makes it much easier to see and find smaller items inside. The lid organizer adds a lot of useful storage without making the case feel cluttered, and the upgraded wheels are a huge improvement over the originals — smoother and noticeably quieter on hard surfaces.

This lid organizer is a great addition to the case. It fits really well, feels nicely made, and makes much better use of the space inside the lid.
The transparent mesh pockets are especially useful because I can immediately see what’s inside without having to open every compartment. It’s perfect for smaller accessories, cables and all those little things that would otherwise end up loose in the case.

These wheels are a huge improvement over the original ones. They feel smoother, roll really well, and are noticeably quieter when pulling the case across different surfaces.

Sturdy built; as one would know from Peli cases. Inlay fits to perfection, is of good quality and it holds watches 38 to 45 mm without them touching each other. Plus, the inlay is molded in such a way that the watches don't move during transport! I give it 100%.
