When sensitive rack equipment has to survive the road — bumps, vibrations, drops, and unpredictable weather — a standard flight case simply isn't enough. The Peli BlackBox 11U was built for professionals who can't afford downtime caused by damaged electronics. Constructed from Peli's tough Black-463 blended resin, it houses a 24-inch (61 cm) depth steel rack frame with a corrosion-resistant zinc black finish, fully compliant with ANSI/EIA 310-C standards and capable of supporting payloads from 36.3 to 45.4 kg.

Protection That Goes Beyond the Shell

At the heart of the BlackBox 11U are eight cylindrical elastomeric shock mounts attached directly to the case shoulders. They deliver 2 inches (5.1 cm) of sway space that continuously absorbs road shocks and vibrations — keeping servers, amplifiers, routers, and signal processors safe even on rough terrain or in cargo holds. The closed-loop gasket and integrated pressure relief valve create an airtight, watertight seal, making this case equally at home in rain-swept outdoor locations, dusty production environments, or humidity-prone broadcast venues.

Built for Fast, Field-Ready Deployment

Speed matters on set and in the field. Dual removable lids — front (2.2 in / 5.6 cm depth) and rear (5.2 in / 13.2 cm depth) — let you access and cable up equipment from both sides simultaneously. Four plastic comfort-grip handles and molded-in 3.25-inch (82.6 mm) edge casters make repositioning a one-person job, even when fully loaded. The molded-in rib design adds stacking strength and interlocking stability for multi-case deployments. Spring-loaded stainless steel hardware with a durable nickel black finish keeps everything locked tight across thousands of kilometres on the road.
