The Peli BlackBox 14U Rack Mount Case is a tough and spacious protective enclosure, designed for professionals requiring secure transport and storage of 19-inch rack equipment in challenging environments. Constructed with high-performance Black-463 blended resin, this case delivers excellent impact resistance and durability for light to medium-duty applications. It is built around a 24-inch (61 cm) deep light-duty steel rack frame with a corrosion-resistant zinc black finish that meets ANSI/EIA 310-C standards, supporting payloads up to 45.4 kg.
The interior features eight cylindrical elastomeric shock mounts attached directly to the shoulder of the case, providing 2 inches (5.1 cm) of sway space to buffer sensitive equipment from shocks and vibration. The front and rear lids measure 2.2 inches (5.6 cm) and 5.2 inches (13.2 cm) deep, respectively, and both are equipped with molded-in 3.25-inch (82.6 mm) edge casters for effortless mobility. Four plastic comfort-grip handles allow ergonomic handling and transportation.
The rugged molded-in rib design enhances stacking stability and interlocking capabilities. Durable spring-loaded stainless steel hardware finished in nickel black ensures secure locking and longevity. The case includes a closed-loop gasket and integrated pressure relief valve to maintain waterproof and dustproof integrity. Dual removable lids provide convenient two-sided access, simplifying equipment installation and maintenance. This versatile case is suited for audio/video production, broadcast, satellite communication, scientific research, and industrial use.
