With its rugged 24-inch (61 cm) steel rack frame featuring 10-32 threads that meet ANSI/EIA 310-C standards, the BlackBox 3U is engineered to accommodate payloads of 36.3-45.4 kg with a typical fragility rating of 40-80G.

Equipped with eight cylindrical elastomeric shock mounts attached directly to the case shoulder, the BlackBox 3U provides 2 inches (5.1 cm) of sway space to isolate sensitive equipment from vibration and impact forces. The case features a 2.2-inch (5.6 cm) front lid and a 5.2-inch (13.2 cm) rear lid with integrated 3.25-inch (82.6 mm) edge casters for easy mobility. Four plastic comfort-grip handles ensure convenient handling and transport.

The molded-in rib design provides secure stacking capabilities and interlock functionality, while the closed-loop gasket and pressure relief valve maintain optimal internal conditions.
