The Peli BlackBox 4U Rack Mount Case is a robust and lightweight enclosure designed to protect 19-inch rack-mountable equipment in professional and industrial environments. Constructed from high-strength Black-463 blended resin, the case offers excellent resistance to impact and environmental stress, providing reliable light to medium-duty protection with great value. Its rugged 24-inch (61 cm) steel rack frame, featuring 10-32 threaded holes and meeting ANSI/EIA 310-C standards, supports payloads up to 45 kg with a typical fragility rating of 40-80G.

Eight cylindrical elastomeric shock mounts, attached directly to the case shoulders, provide 2 inches (5.1 cm) of sway space to isolate sensitive equipment from shocks and vibrations. The case has front and rear lids measuring 2.2 inches (5.6 cm) and 5.2 inches (13.2 cm) deep respectively, both equipped with molded-in 3.25-inch (82.6 mm) edge casters for smooth mobility. Four plastic comfort-grip handles ensure ergonomic handling and ease of transport.

A molded-in rib design enhances stacking capability and stability, while spring-loaded stainless steel hardware finished in nickel black provides durability and secure closure. The closed-loop gasket and integrated pressure relief valve maintain internal environmental balance by protecting against dust and water ingress and equalizing pressure. The removable front and rear lids offer convenient dual access for easy installation and maintenance.
