Peli CRATE 45L Modular Cargo Case CR45

The Peli CRATE 45L (CR45) is the compact member of Peli's new CRATE family – a Configurable Ruggedized All-terrain Transport Ecosystem built for people whose loadout changes from one job to the next. It combines the sealed, crushproof protection Peli is known for with an open, reconfigurable interior and an exterior rail system, so the same case can serve as a vehicle storage box on Monday, a tool crate on a job site on Wednesday and a camp kitchen box at the weekend.

Sealed protection in a stackable format

The CRATE is moulded from Peli's proprietary HPXC polymer and carries an IP67 rating: dustproof and waterproof at 1 metre for up to 30 minutes when properly closed and latched. The polymer is formulated for enhanced UV resistance and colour fastness, which matters for a case that lives on a roof platform or in an open truck bed. Padlockable hasps and an automatic pressure equalization valve complete the package.

ModRail™ – configure the outside

The integrated ModRail™ system is a T-slot rail running around the exterior of the case. It accepts Peli's own cleats and bar loops as well as third-party accessories designed for standard T-slot rails – no drilling, no permanent modification. ModRail has been tested to support loads up to 100 lbs (45 kg).

A lid that works in tight spaces

The multi-position lid opens from either side or lifts off completely, so you can reach your gear when the case is pushed against a wall, strapped into a vehicle or sitting at the bottom of a stack. CRATE cases interlock across the 45L and 90L sizes, building a stable load that moves as one unit.

Built to be organised

Unlike a traditional foam-filled Peli case, the CRATE has an open interior designed around accessories: the 45L Divider Panel Set, the 45L Inner Tray and the EZ-Click MOLLE Lid Panel install without tools and can be rearranged in seconds. All accessories are sold separately.

Good to know

For roof transport, Peli recommends platform-style roof racks with a flat, continuous support surface and heavy-duty tie-down straps over the whole case; mounting directly on two crossbars is not recommended, and the ModRail system is not intended for securing the case to a roof rack.
