The Peli Storm iM2700 is a large-format IP67-rated hard case built from HPX® resin, certified to MIL-STD-810F for military-standard durability, FED-STD-101C for packaging integrity, and ATA 300 for compliance with checked air freight requirements. IP67 Waterproof, Crushproof, and Certified to Three Transport Standards

HPX® resin construction makes the iM2700 crushproof against freight drops, stacking loads, and vehicle compression without adding unnecessary weight. The IP67 rating means the case is completely dustproof and able to withstand 30-minute submersion at one metre depth. Four Press & Pull™ latches close with a positive click and release cleanly with a single action, even with gloves on. Two padlockable stainless steel hasps add tamper resistance for unattended storage or checked luggage, and stainless steel hinge pins maintain lid alignment through thousands of cycles. A double-layered soft-grip handle distributes load across the palm for comfortable carry at the gate or across the field. An O-ring gasket runs the full perimeter of the lid, maintaining the watertight seal independently of the latches through repeated cycles of opening and closing.

Automatic Pressure Equalization: The Vortex™ Valve

A sealed hard case accumulates a pressure differential during air transport. The interior pressure at sea level is higher than cabin pressure at cruising altitude, and the reverse applies on descent — without compensation, this creates a vacuum effect that makes the lid difficult to open on arrival. The patented Vortex™ valve eliminates this automatically: it continuously vents the case to ambient pressure, so the iM2700 opens with normal latch force whether the case travels in a pressurized passenger cabin, an unpressurized cargo hold, or shifts between extreme temperatures on deployment. No user action is required.

Two Interior Configurations

• No Foam — bare interior shell for customers who supply their own custom foam, use the case for non-fragile equipment, or plan a CNC-cut custom insert.
• With Foam — Pick 'n' Pluck pre-scored foam. The foam is divided into a grid of small cubes that tear cleanly to any shape. Pull out individual cubes with your fingers to create a snug, custom-profile cavity for your equipment — no cutting tools, no adhesives.
