Peli Storm IM2275 - Rugged Drone Case
Hurry up, only 4 items left in stock.
Drone equipment is expensive, fragile, and rarely fails in forgiving conditions. When you're shooting in coastal wind, mountain rain, or a dusty construction site, the case carrying your kit takes the same punishment as everything else — and a zipper bag won't survive it. The Peli Storm iM2275 is built for that reality: a crushproof, IP67-rated hard case that protects your drone investment the same way the equipment itself was designed to handle the world.
Internal dimensions of 35.9 × 33.5 × 25.1 cm (14.1 × 13.2 × 9.9 in) provide enough floor area and 25 cm of vertical depth to carry a folded mid-size drone body, two or three spare batteries, a controller, and a full cable kit in one load. Three interior configurations are available — foam-free, with Pick 'n' Pluck foam, or with a TrekPak organizer — so the case adapts to your specific gear rather than a generic load-out.
IP67 Watertight and Crushproof Protection
The shell is injection-moulded from HPX® high-performance resin — the same polymer Peli Storm uses across its professional field case line. A continuous compression seal meets IP67: completely dustproof and waterproof to one metre for thirty minutes. In practice this means the case can be set down in rain, slid into a wet vehicle boot, or dropped from tailgate height without compromising the interior.
Reinforced stainless steel hinge pins carry the mechanical stress across the full hinge width, resisting the stress fractures that appear in thin plastic pivot designs after repeated loading. Two Press & Pull™ latches require deliberate force to open — they don't release from impact or cargo compression — but open with one finger when you need access on location.
Designed for Air Travel: The Vortex™ Pressure Valve
Sealed cases develop vacuum lock when atmospheric pressure drops in aircraft holds. Without equalization, the latches require significant force to open on arrival, and in some conditions won't release at all without tools. The patented Vortex™ automatic pressure equalization valve vents and reseals continuously as altitude changes, so the iM2275 opens normally after any flight without requiring force or compromise of the seal.
Two padlockable stainless steel hasps accept TSA-accepted locks or standard security padlocks. The hasps sit flush to the case body when unlatched, preventing snagging on luggage belts and overhead storage.
Interior Depth That Accommodates Full Kits
At 25.1 cm, the interior depth of the iM2275 is its defining dimension. Most hard cases in this footprint are substantially shallower, requiring operators to carry batteries or controllers separately. The iM2275's vertical space accommodates stacked foam layers or a full TrekPak grid with room for upright battery storage alongside the drone body — a complete kit in one case, checked as a single piece of luggage.
The double-layered soft-grip handle is proportioned for actual loaded weight. The outer layer holds shape under compression; the inner layer absorbs grip pressure over extended carry distances — useful when hiking to a remote shoot location or navigating a crowded terminal.
Three Interior Options
The iM2275 is available in three configurations to match different working styles:
- No Foam: bare interior, for operators who use their own custom inserts, existing foam systems, or flexible packing solutions.
- With Foam (Pick 'n' Pluck): layered foam with pre-scored pull-out segments. No cutting tools needed — pull segments to shape compartments around your specific components.
- With TrekPak Organizer: rigid divider panels that slot into internal tracks, creating adjustable hard-walled compartments. Better suited than foam for angular components — controllers, filter cases, hard drives — that don't nest cleanly in pulled foam.
All configurations in black. Made in the USA. Backed by Peli's limited lifetime warranty.
