Peli Storm iM2400 Base Bezel Kit for Panel mounting
Out of stock
When sensitive electronics have to travel and still work the moment you open the case, the way they are mounted matters as much as the case itself. The Peli™ Storm iM2400 Base Bezel Kit (Metric), part number iM2400-MBEZ-B, turns the base of your iM2400 Storm Laptop Case into a ready-made mounting surface for a custom electronic interface panel. Instruments, connectors, controls and devices sit exactly where you want them — secured, organised, and shielded from the knocks, dust and moisture of working in the field.
This is the metric configuration of the kit, built around a precision aluminium frame with M4 tapped holes. Rather than improvising brackets or drilling into the case shell, you fit an engineered frame that supports a customer-supplied panel and delivers a repeatable, professional installation every time. The outcome is a portable workstation that looks finished, behaves predictably and protects delicate hardware wherever the job takes it.
Keeps your electronics dry and secure
The core of the kit is its sealing system. A polymer O-ring works together with a silicone perimeter gasket to keep the base of the case watertight — and critically, the seal is maintained even when the lid is open. That means you can run cables, operate controls or service the installed panel without exposing the contents of the base to water ingress. It is a genuine advantage when you are working outdoors, off the back of a vehicle, or anywhere the weather will not wait for you.
The aluminium frame provides rigid, full-perimeter support across the base of the case, so a populated panel does not flex, rattle or shift in transit. Paired with the proven ruggedness of the Storm case platform, the bezel kit lets you transport a complete electronic assembly with confidence that it will arrive ready to switch on.
Fast, repeatable panel mounting
The M4 tapped holes are the practical detail integrators value most. They let you attach a customer-supplied panel or device quickly and securely with standard metric fasteners — no guesswork, no custom threading, and a clean look on the finished build. Whether you are producing a single bespoke unit or a small run of identical cases, the tapped frame gives you a consistent mounting pattern you can rely on.
What you can build with it
- Portable test and measurement rigs – mount displays, meters and connector plates into a rugged, transportable enclosure.
- Broadcast, AV and media kits – house control surfaces and I/O panels in the base while devices and cabling stay protected.
- Field communications and command panels – keep radios, routers and interface panels organised and weatherproof on deployment.
- Industrial and laboratory instruments – protect sensitive electronics that move between sites without losing calibration or alignment.
Everything in the kit
The Base Bezel Kit arrives as a complete installation package, so there are no extra parts to source before you start. Inside you will find:
- Moulded corner pieces that locate and lock the frame into the base
- Front and back rails plus side rails for full-perimeter support around the opening
- Rivets for a permanent, vibration-resistant assembly
- Sealing washers to maintain the watertight integrity of every fixing point
Precise fit and key specifications
This kit is engineered specifically for the iM2400 Storm Laptop Case and is also compatible with the iM2450. The base bezel mounting area measures 18" × 13" (45.7 × 33 cm), giving you a generous, well-defined surface for your panel layout.
- Part number: iM2400-MBEZ-B (Metric)
- Frame material: aluminium
- Mounting: M4 tapped holes for metric fasteners
- Sealing: polymer O-ring plus silicone perimeter gasket; watertight even with the lid open
