Peli Storm iM2700 Base Bezel Kit for Panel mounting

The iM2700-M4-BEZEL Base Bezel Kit (Metric) is a precision-engineered aluminium frame system designed to integrate electronic interface panels permanently and professionally into the base shell of a Peli™ Storm iM2700, iM2720, or iM2750 case. Whether you are building a deployable communications station, a ruggedised field computer, or a mobile test and measurement system, this kit provides the structural and sealing foundation to turn a standard Storm case into a fully functional hardened enclosure.

What This Kit Does

The base bezel creates a rigid, sealed aperture in the bottom half of the case. A custom-machined aluminium frame is fixed around the interior perimeter of the base using the supplied corner pieces, rails, and rivets. The frame exposes the full 22 × 17 in (55.9 × 43.2 cm) base panel area, which can be populated with user-supplied sub-panels, connectors, displays, keyboards, or any custom interface hardware. M4 metric-tapped holes are spaced around the frame to allow precise, tool-ready attachment of equipment — no additional drilling required.

Watertight Integrity — Even with the Lid Open

A key engineering challenge in panel-mounting cases is maintaining environmental protection once a cutout is made in the shell. The iM2700-M4-BEZEL addresses this through a dual-seal system:

• Silicone perimeter gasket – a continuous silicone seal runs around the entire frame perimeter, compressing against the installed panel to block dust, water, and humidity from the front face
• Polymer O-ring – seals the frame-to-shell interface at the rear, maintaining the Storm case's structural watertight integrity

The result: the case remains environmentally protected even with the lid open — critical for systems that must operate in rain, dusty field conditions, or near washdown stations.
