Instead of improvising with brackets and drilled holes that compromise the seal, this aluminium frame system bolts cleanly into the base of the case and provides a flat, rigid plane onto which you can fasten panels, displays, connectors and user-supplied equipment. It is the metric version of the kit, supplied with M4 tapped holes, and it keeps the renowned watertight integrity of the Storm case fully intact.

What the Base Bezel Kit does

A bezel kit converts the protective volume of a case into a mounting bay. The frame sits against the inner wall of the case base and creates a recessed, sealed surface that interface panels can be attached to. This lets integrators build self-contained, rugged systems: a screen and controls on one bezel, power and data connectors routed through another, all housed in a case that can still be closed, carried and shipped like any other Peli Storm. Because the frame is aluminium rather than plastic, it carries the weight of mounted hardware without flexing and holds threaded fasteners reliably over many installation cycles.

Watertight even with the lid open

The detail that sets a genuine bezel kit apart is its sealing system. A polymer O-ring works together with a silicone perimeter gasket so that the boundary between the bezel and the case stays watertight, even when the lid is open and the panel face is exposed for use. That means an operator can run the equipment in the field, in rain, dust or spray, with the panel accessible, and the interior of the case below the bezel stays dry and protected. When the lid is closed, the case returns to its full transport-grade sealing.
