Seven medium classic latches, one medium handle, and two small handles: all original Peli parts, matched precisely to the 1650's configuration, in Desert Tan (colour code 190).

What's in the Set

Everything needed to replace the full latch-and-handle assembly on a Peli 1650:

• 7 × medium classic latch — the cam-over closure that seals the case under pressure changes in aircraft holds, vehicle lockers, and wet deployments

Pins are not included. To fit new hardware: knock the existing pins out with a punch and hammer, slot in the replacement part, then tap the pins back through. Screwdrivers are not the right tool for pins — always use a punch and mallet.

Desert Tan — What the Colour Means

Desert Tan (Peli code 190) is a warm sand-beige — the finish originally developed for military and expeditionary use in arid environments. Where black hardware disappears into urban or industrial settings, tan reads clearly against sandy or earthy terrain, making a misplaced case visible at distance. For civilian users, it is a clean, understated alternative to black that signals a deliberate choice rather than a default.

Designed for the Peli 1650 — Not Universal

The Peli 1650 is a large rolling Protector Case used widely for broadcast equipment, drone systems, weapons transport, and heavy field kit. Unlike carry-on-sized models such as the 1510 or 1560 — which use two latches — the 1650 requires seven. This set is matched precisely to that count. It is not compatible with the 1610, 1620, 1680, or any other Peli Protector model.

Third-party latches may close the case, but they won't maintain the IP67 pressure differential that the latch geometry was engineered to produce.
