IP67 — What the Rating Actually Means

IP67 is an internationally defined standard, not a brand claim. The two digits tell you exactly what was tested:

• 6 — Complete dust exclusion: no particle can enter the case under any conditions.
• 7 — Submersion up to 1 metre for 30 minutes: not just splash-proof, but fully submersible. The case will survive kayaking, a sudden rainstorm, or being dropped overboard.

The seal is created by a rubber gasket that runs the full perimeter of the lid, compressed by the double-throw latches. When the case clicks shut, it is genuinely sealed.

Built to Last

The shell is injection-moulded from polypropylene — lightweight, chemically resistant, and impact-resistant. Rounded, reinforced corners absorb drops and knocks without deforming. Stainless steel hinges and latches resist corrosion and won't seize even after repeated saltwater exposure — essential if the case lives in a dive bag or aboard a boat.

Inside, the standard configuration uses EVA foam to cushion and secure contents. The case is also available with Pick N Pluck™ foam, a grid of pre-scored cubes you remove by hand to create a precisely shaped cavity for your specific item — no tools, no guesswork.

A pressure equalization valve automatically compensates for atmospheric and altitude changes. Without it, the pressure differential can make the lid difficult to open after a flight or a mountain descent. With it, the case opens easily at any altitude.
