The SONLUX POWERTUBE II S (73P01001-0006.E) is a compact, professional large-area LED luminaire designed for fast scene lighting in changing work environments. Its tube format delivers a true 360° light field, so the work zone stays evenly illuminated from every side. This reduces hard shadows behind people, vehicles, pallets, and barriers. It also makes the whole area easier to read, which supports safer movement and cleaner workflows.

This version is built for straightforward operation and higher confidence at the power connection. A rugged toggle switch gives you three clear positions: off, 180° illumination, and 360° illumination. The power lead is fitted with a Type E+F (CEE 7/7) IP68 plug and a robust rubber cable, which is a real advantage in wet, muddy, and exposed locations.

Switchable 180° / 360° illumination

Not every job needs full-area output all the time. POWERTUBE II S lets you match the light to the task in seconds. Use 180° mode to light a defined work face, a corridor edge, or a boundary line without wasting light behind the luminaire. Switch to 360° mode when the team works around the lamp or when the zone expands.

Two outputs for practical power control

In 180° mode, the luminaire provides 5,500 lm with a system power of 42 W. In 360° mode, it reaches 11,000 lm at 84 W. Both modes keep a strong system efficiency of 131 lm/W, so you get useful light without unnecessary load. This is especially helpful when you run several luminaires from temporary distribution boards and want predictable consumption.

Light quality that supports real work

Temporary lighting should not feel like a harsh spotlight. POWERTUBE II S produces uniform, soft and glare-reduced illumination through its opal polycarbonate cover. The light colour is 5000 K, which delivers a clear, neutral “daylight” character. With CRI 80, colours remain readable for safety markings, wiring identification, labels, and equipment recognition. The tight 3 SDCM colour tolerance supports consistent results when multiple units are deployed in the same area.

Comfort on reflective surfaces

Wet asphalt, metal structures, glossy floors, and vehicle bodywork can create uncomfortable reflections. The tube diffuser reduces harsh contrasts and supports better visual comfort during long shifts. Glare evaluation (RUG) reflects the design intent: 25.4 in 180° mode and 27.3 in 360° mode. The POWERTUBE II S is made to be moved, mounted, and packed down repeatedly. The housing is aluminium, powder-coated. The base plate is steel, powder-coated and includes rubber feet for grip and stability. The opal cover is impact- and break-resistant polycarbonate, protecting the LED surface while supporting a smooth light distribution. For practical planning, the guideline is: B10A up to 1 luminaire, B16A up to 1, C10A up to 2, and C16A up to 3.
